Tar Heels Hammer Wake

On a cold Sunday morning in Winston-Salem, the University of North Carolina ran all over Wake Forest, winning 75-19 and handing the Demon Deacons the worst loss in the recent history of the program. Behind the stellar play of flyhalf Gregor MacClennon, the Tar Heels scored early and often, touching down 11 tries and thoroughly embarrassing Wake Forest. Head coach Patrick Kane said of the loss, "North Carolina's backline was superb and we just had no answer for what they were doing out wide. Now we need to put today behind us and focus on playing NC State next weekend. How the guys respond going forward will show alot about who they are as individuals and who we are as a team."
